More from Edinburgh

Well the rain and dark clouds have continued but we have had some spells of sunshine. Yesterday we took a day trip to the highlands and had a cruise on Loch Lomond;
Interesting lodges and castles along the way
It was as cold as it looks
A drive through the Scottish highlands
And the famous heather
Views from the bus window - this is a hunting lodge
More bus window views
And for friends close to home......we stopped for lunch at a village called ABERFOYLE
The following images are for you Bron -
Do you think they want to visit us at home??

And for you Jill....I chased this wee fellow and then had to tell the owner why
So she and "Archie" posed just for you and Hamish!
Today we just ambled - took in the Surgeons Museum but Larry didn't
cope too well with the human specimens. Then this afternoon the sun came
out and we returned to the gardens at the foot of the castle on Princes St.
Last visit here 13 years ago was my first experience  with a squirrel,
so we sat for some time waiting and hoping for another. While waiting we
enjoyed the beautiful flowers with the bees buzzing and the couples canoodling
( my camera didn't intrude on their privacy!!)
Maybe the gardener's lodge? (no sign anywhere)
And that castle on the hill
And then when I had given up hope he came
right out of nowhere right up to our seat.....
Larry did have to spoil the moment by telling me they
are probably just vermin!! Sorry but I quite like them
